Today we started with a short meeting in the reading room 2150. After that Mr. Callens and Mr. Pow led us to a team-building activity at the Red Barn. There, the entire group spent two hours solving problems with different difficulties, either as a whole group or divided into smaller groups. After every activity, we analyzed our communication abilities, often learning better ways to find a solution to a problem. After the team activity, Alexa and I went to our group (following a ten-minute break in the CIS building), where we read in the astronomy textbook for 4 hours (incl. a lunch break). At around 2:30 PM, Kristina and Valerie showed us the demos of previous groups' Outreach programs, so we would get an idea of where to start our own project. Then we brainstormed possible activities to teach to middle school kids, with the main goal being the introduction to astronomy for these younger children.
